Elder Roy Mayberry was born on in Ruston, Louisiana. There he was baptized and accepted Christ while attending New Hope Baptist Church until he joined the U.S. Navy in 1970. While in the Navy he met and married Jessie Mayberry and together they have three daughters and eight grandsons. While in the military he attended Southwest Texas State and Chapman University while overseas, and Oxnard College and DeAnza College in California.
During his military career he attended various churches, including Lily of the Valley in Lemoore, California; Refuge Temple, Mountain View, California, where he was baptised as an adult; Christ Temple Apostolic Church, Mountain View, California. At Christ Temple he accepted the calling of God to preach the gospel. Minister Mayberry was a Sunday School teacher and armor bearer for Pastor James Due, Jr. After moving to San Jose, California in 1987, he became a member of Christ Temple Family Center where he was licensed to preach.
Minister Mayberry was transferred to Hawaii in 1988 where he and Lady Mayberry founded Emanuel Temple. He was ordained as an Elder in 1989 into World Won For Christ Ministries by Bishop Wayne S. Davis in Englewood, California.
Elder Mayberry retired from the U.S. Navy in 1991 and returned to San Jose where he was reunited with Christ Temple Family Center as an Associate Pastor. Elder & Lady Mayberry moved to Stockton, California in 2000 where he was an Associate Minister at Jesus Christ For All Nations. Elder & Lady Mayberry moved to McKinney, Texas in 2006 where they was united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church until God led them to Eternity Community Church in 2008. Elder Mayberry has been Assistant Pastor since 2011.
